AOL ha lanzado una nueva versión de su veterano reproductor de medios Winamp, el que llega a su versión 5.6.0.3080; está disponible en 4 ediciones: Estándar, Lite, Completo y Pro.

Cabe mencionar que esta nueva versión tiene algunos problemas con algunos plugin antiguos; por ejemplo al usarla junto con el Lyrics plugin, la aplicación no es capaz de iniciarse. La nueva versión de Winamp puede ser descargada desde su web oficial.
AOL ha puesto también a disponibilidad de los usuarios la primera versión Beta de Winamp para Android, esta versión tiene entre sus características la administración de música descargada en su equipo basado en Android, sincronización inalámbrica WiFi con Winamp en equipos de escritorio y estaciones de radio Shoutcast, importación con “un click” de toda la música sin-DRM desde iTunes, entre otras.
